As at 10.58pm, Sunday, September 2, 2007, well respected and muchloved Sydney arts publicist Emma Collison was in a coma in StVincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst.

Emma had an accident while rollerblading with her eldest son Oscarand a friend on Saturday morning in Centennial Park. She fell and hither head and was taken to hospital, unconscious. An operation torelieve pressure on her brain was carried out on Sunday morning andshe was in a medically induced coma from that point.

Emma Collison is one of the leading lights of Sydney's performingarts scene, she has worked for most of the major companies andartistes including, most recently, Bangarra Dance and the PriscillaQueen of the Desert company. She is one of the more sparkling andrewarding fixtures in the industry and had taken on a number of jobsfrom the doyenne of Sydney theatre publicity, Judith Johnson, whodied suddenly exactly a year ago.

Emma's husband, Brendan Read, said "We are hoping and praying for aspeedy recovery and seeing her bubbly self back with us soon."
