Description
An absurdist comedy featuring the kind of people you find in a bar. Man and Woman stumble on an open mic night. They have a broken relationship in their past and battle it out onstage.Their weapons? Jokes based on the classic form, "A man walks into a bar...". They duel and drink, breaking out to tell their stories and the stories of many others who have spent time in bars. The dialogue is fast-paced and action gets wilder as the play goes on, this show is the Perfect Tipple.
This production is the Australian Premiere of David Geary's 'A Man Walks Into A Bar'. Andrew Beban, Creative Director of Off The Avenue Productions is making his directorial debut and has written original music for this production.
Anyone who has ever spent a bit of time in a bar will be able to relate to this absurdist comedy. Critically acclaimed Australian Alt Country and Folk Musician Sam Newton, fresh from his Violet Road tour will be playing a set 30 minutes before each show starts.
