Description
Two sisters prepare themselves for society, one punch at a time.Animal is a dark horror, a minute tale of epic proportions. In a remote town, two sisters hover on the edge of society. Dominated by their destructive mother and muted by the secret of a father not long buried, they begin a relentless quest to prepare for the predators circling outside.

Through heightened physicality and visceral splendor, Animal explores the circumstance we are born into, the cycle of violence and examines how these deeply imbedded patterns can change or be broken.
Developed by multi-Green Room Award winning theatre makers Susie Dee, Kate Sherman and Nicci Wilks and supported by a high calibre creative team including Kelly Ryall, Marg Horwell, Andy Turner and Angus Cerini, Animal looks at what we don't like to see, or perhaps choose to ignore, and asks the question: how do women respond to a world that celebrates the brutishness of men?
Presented by inFlux and Theatre Works as part of their 2016 ‘Selected Works’ Program.
