A young woman chooses career over love in a desperate attempt to avoid the mistakes of her mother. But you never know wha''s around the next corner. Or who...

A shorter version of Rebound premiered at the Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) in New York in July 2016, picking up three festival nominations, including the Playwright’s Award. It was reprised at New York’s Spotlight-On Festival in April 2017. A longer version than this one-hour Fringe production was shortlisted for the Darlinghurst Theatre Company’s 2017 season.

“A clever comedy” – Broadway World

“This very well written play is a delight... uproariously funny. See it for an enjoyable evening” – Outer-Stage

“This play made me laugh and cry; a sign of excellent writing. Great audience appeal” – judge’s comments, Edythe Brook Cooper 2016 Playwriting Competition

“Eloise and Troy are great characters, like fun neighbours I’d want to hang out with" - The PAGE Awards

The play stars BROOKLYN ALLAN as the uptight girlfriend, Eloise (“Thank God I don’t take after my mother! She’s Sydney and I’m Melbourne.”); JOSHUA MOREL as the slacker boyfriend, Troy (“Why pretend everything’s all right? Between us. I wouldn’t be sleeping on the sofa if things were all right. Between us. Would I?”); SARAH ROBINSON as the romantically conflicted mother, Suzie (“Handsome devil. Quite sure he hasn’t done the dirty on you?”) and ELLA ARENDELLE as the fun-loving friend you love and loathe in equal measure, Megan (“I don’t have a type. They’re all fair game.”).

The screenplay – film version – of Rebound is currently a Finalist/Official Selection at the Oaxaca Film Festival, Mexico: https://www.oaxacafilmfest.com/p/rebound-1

Writer/Producer WARREN PAUL GLOVER and director DANIEL POLLOCK have both directed each other in Short+Sweet plays and appeared on stage in the same play at the Blood Moon Theatre (Rebound plays a one-off show at the Blood Moon Theatre in Kings Cross on Monday 25 September).
