It’s Sydney, 1944. The murdered PYJAMA GIRL rises dripping from her vat of preserving fluid to find out who she is, who killed her and can she find some rest-in-peace?For ten years she’s been exhibited to the general public in the police force’s forlorn hope that someone will recognise her. A cabaret-style play delving into Sydney crime, sexual politics, racial stereotyping and dodgy jurisprudence, The Pyjama Girl celebrates a stranger-than-fiction story while airing the challenges it leaves behind.
