EAT, DRINK AND BE COSECHA

Great news from Carriageworks for January. Aside from great performances and fascinating artworks, they’re hosting a pop-up restaurant and bar – opening tomorrow (Wednesday, 9 January) and it will be open 12 noon to late(ish) until 27 January.

Cosecha by Darren Taylor pops up to serve the rich and zingy flavours of Spain – both dishes and drinks. The menu runs with separate sections for lunch, “afternoon bites” and full dinner service - starters, main courses and desserts.

On the menu, for instance, during the day you’ll find a range of bocadillos (baguettes but not French), tapas, cheese and meat boards, salads and salsas. Come evening time there will be two paella stations – traditional and vegetarian – ($18); three starters ($14-16) and two main courses - fish and chicken ($24); side dishes ($6-9.50) and desserts including traditional flan (yum) and two others ($14-16).

There’s also a full range of coffee, tea, and sparkling drinks and some excellent sounding wines - Spanish and homegrown. And sangria of course.
